You can actually use your friends list to start a group chat or TP in several people at once by CTRL clicking. I dunno what the word for it is but you can select multiple people and IM/Call or send TP. No need for calling cards.

I always delete my calling cards as soon as I get them, I have enough stuff in my inventory without having a bazillion cards too.

I deleted ALL my calling cards because I had 10 billion and I never use them. I figured, eh, an easy way to get rid of extra inventory. :)

People promoting events use calling cards to TP every single person in their friends list to the event party. (Happens A LOT in the Portuguese community. grr)

As for calling cards, they can be organize in folders, like 'friends to IM', 'friends to TP', whatever. I don't know. I just have the calling cards in the inventory and never use them for anything.

I didn't realize that calling cards were associated with TP'ing or IM'ing more than 20 people (though I never actually do either). Good to know (and see, something I didn't know!)

lmao, you forgot to mention DON'T DELETE CALLING CARDS - or at least dont delete the ones of people you do talk to or do have random contact with, sobs* I did that recently to try and cut down on inventory, and realised after that means that I am limited to only IMing or TPing 20 people at one time.

Yes I know I shouldn't spam everyone I know, but sometimes there are those moments you need to let everyone online know something at once, and the friends list shift highlight all only works to 20 people :o( .

But I always tell new residents about calling cards as an option, it allows them some kind of contact when new and lost, without feeling like they are being pushy.

thanks for making me giggle
