Recently, I found myself at Casa del Shai, wondering how so many beautiful things can come from just one person. I don’t know how she does it, but with each new release she raises the bar just a little bit higher for herself. Every time I go there, I can’t decide what to get because I want everything.
I first saw this pink flamingo dress on my friend Graciana, and then I secretly inspected her dress to see where in the world it came from. Not that I routinely do this, mind you, but sometimes a girl just has to know! It’s a far cry from my newbie days when I used to zoom my camera way in on the tag on the back of my friend’s shoes, then do insane amounts of research to find them (she didn’t like to share good sources, and I was always good with the camera). I immediately went over to Shai, and bought the pink dress, but every time I’m there I kinda want to get the rest of them, even though there’s not all that many opportunities to wear them. But it still doesn’t stop me from coveting them. There are not many dresses in this style that are this well-finished; in fact, no others come to mind.
The floral brocade maillot dress is beautifully textured, beautifully designed and just plain beautiful. You can of course wear it as only a maillot, as the name might suggest, but throw on the skirt and it’s the perfect little cocktail dress, stunning in any setting. My favourite part is the tulle petticoat, and maybe the gold brooch.
The newest release from Shai is one of the most amazing dresses I’ve seen in awhile. The Annouck halter dress features a sculpted skirt, with a really gorgeous coppery-coloured underskirt. The keyhole halter top is the ultimate in sexy, and the detailing at the neck is just sublime.
Check out more after the jump.
It has to be said, the Adriana lingerie is what brought me into the store this time. I don’t often have my head turned by lingerie in Second Life, because I don’t often wear it, but sometimes I just can’t help myself. And this was one of those times. You could even wear it outside of the skybox, with the included skirt and corset.
Shown from the left is Plum, Turquoise and Champagne. There are two other colours available, grey and orchid, and all of them are exquisite.
The swimwear available is another really good reason to stop by, if you actually needed another one. The black string bikini on the left is a freebie available to one and all, outside the store. I believe I got this one from the Calla anniversary party, but I can’t be sure. So it may or may not include these boho beads, but they did come with the bikini, wherever I got it.
The striped Hamptons bikini is my favourite. I absolutely love stripes, and this suit has a really nice sheeny, stripy pattern to it. It also has matching pants, which are really nice.
The Boho Beaded bikini comes with a coverup, which I prefer to wear over the simple white bikini. I tend to wear this shirt with jeans or capri pants sometimes too, because it’s so perfect for the summer months.
Everything you see at Casa Del Shai is perfectly finished, with amazing amounts of detail and thought put into each and every piece. If for some reason you have not made it there (and I can’t understand how that might be the case), then I strongly suggest you go down there immediately!
