The other day, Siddean Munro, the talented prim torturer behind SLink, sent me some of her newest skins, and I figured I probably wouldn’t blog them (they weren’t sent as review copies) because blogging is boring to me lately (as are all SL things, actually). But once I actually tried them on, I could not help taking pictures of every single one of them, because they are just that pretty.

These are the Madison skins, which are all named after birds. There are four tones, with six makeups in each. While some are definitely not your everyday choices, they are all beautiful and special looking. I’ve shown my three favourites in each tone, below.

This is the tone I’ll probably wear most often, Fair, and from left to right is Raven, Parakeet, and Nightingale. The finish on these skins is just gorgeous and the eyebrows are nearly perfect. They could only be more perfect if they came in black, or they were modifiable to change the colours (the skins are not mod at all).

It’s not often I find a darker skin that I actually like, that actually looks like a dark skin rather than someone who just hung out with their tanning booth a bit too much, but Coco is happily the exception to that. From left to right is Paradise, Bellbird, and Cardinal.

Milky is the lightest tone, and they are beautifully done. Lots of the time, when a designer intends to make a really light skintone, they go a bit too far and the tone turns out a bit ghost-like, or they don’t go far enough. Swift, Pink Cockatoo, and Starling are the three makeup options I chose in this tone.

Sunkissed truly does look a bit like I got a lot of sun that day, but in the healthy good way, not like if you touched my skin I’d scream in pain. The shading on the chest is really nice, and makes me sort of ogle my avatar, just a little bit. Bowerbird, Fairy Wren, and Kingfisher are my favourites of this tone.

I have no clue when these skins were made, or if an optimal Windlight look is what Siddean was going for, but they look absolutely amazing. I think I’ve found my new favourite skin <3
